Victor Kullberg, very fine ship`s chronometer Nr. 5510 from 1893

Very fine ship’s chronometer with 56h power reserve indication and early version of Kullberg’s auxiliary compensation balance, sold to ships supplier J & T Barclay, 10 Jamaica Terrace, West India Dock Road, London.
Lavish mahogany box with brass inlays, applied bone signature shield „J & T Barclay, 10 Jamaica Terrace, West India Dock Road, London“, screwed on handles, with lid and glass, case key, brass gimbals and bowl, three-body.
Silvered dial, signed, numbered, „To H. M. The King of Norway and Sweden“, „Prize Medals Awarded 1860, 1862, 1864“ sunk roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, gold spade hands.
Brass movement, polished, decorated, moulded pillars, chain/fusee, spring detent escapement, blued screws, „Kullberg“-chronometer balance with 2 weights and 6 screws, freesprung helical balance spring, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
This item is in wonderful condition with just the right patina! Perfect dial, perfect movement, just cleaned (fotos!) In 1981 the chronometer has been serviced by the famous contemporary company of Thomas Mercer in London. Documents are available!
