The traditional famous Paris watch manufacturer Le Roy & Fils (later Leroy & Cie) is well know among collectors for high quality pocket watches and marine chronometers. Leon Leroy was appointed „Horloger de la Marine“ in 1906 and in the same year „Knight of the legion of honor“. The company was located at: Palais Royale, Blvd. de la Madeleine, and later Faubourg, St. Honore.
