Brockbanks & Atkins, fine 18K gold open face pocket chronometer from 1817

This fine heavy pocket chronometer, signed Brockbanks % Atkins/London was manufactured in 1817.

Gilt finished chain fusee movement with Earnshaw spring detent escapement, unusual 3-arm balance with circular compensation weights!

Perfect enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt spade hands, subsidiary seconds

Heavy plain case with cuvette, engraved inscription: Robert Williams, Bridehead and a crest, 248gr. and diameter 65mm, case and cuvette numbered and stamped WM for case maker William Mordan and London date letter for 1817!

This high end object is in a perfect condition, unbelievable for a more than 200 years old watch with a well known history. This watch is a real beauty!!
